I saw a post from someone who got scammed for a lot of money. I wanted to start a new thread about what ideas people have on avoiding scams in the first place. The individual who got scammed, was scammed for over $2800, which is a lot of money. I don't know if this was a little at a time, or all at once. One thing I would suggest, if he was purchasing a site or something of that nature, is always use some sort of escrow service. Escrow will cost some money, but it will keep you from losing your money. Using escrow, especailly when buying a site, gives both parties some security, because the seller can see that you have put the money in escrow, and the buyer knows the money won't released until a grace period or other such term has been met. Anyone have any other suggestions on how to keep from getting scammed, in general?
