Hi Everyone,

I have a funny [adult] picture blog and it was getting somewhere around 200 unique hits everyday from various sources. 2 posts with good keywords did the trick for me.

Then 3 days back I got approved by crackRevenue and thought of monetising the traffic with it.... but as soon as I updated my blog with the ads below header and tested with few in the posts.... I traffic vanished....

No keywords or rising keywords helped.... Is it coz of the ads or some other reason all togather....

Regards

Well you said funny adult pictures. crackRevenue I believe is an adult network. Maybe the visitors weren't pleased with the porn ads?

And ADS should not hurt your site unless they contain malware or really slow down your website. As you said your traffic was coming form some sources (maybe a site that linked to yours but have now removed the link? )

most of the traffic was organic and coming directly from google. some other source were image sites which allow adult links and facebook [Very Little].

And for people to dislike the ads they need to come on my site first and then the traffic should go down slowly... but here it stopped suddenly. just after the ad posts.... bit absurd... I have heard stories on forum of Traffic getting hit after posting 3rd party ads along with ADSENSE. N now I am seeing it myslef. :(

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply.

go over to gtmetrix.com and test your site twice. Once with no ads on your site and another one with ads on the site to see if the ads are having a drastic effect on your speed.
