Alright, we've been discussing this in the staff section and decided to no longer allow the trading of Rapids. The primary reason for this is that Rapids can easily be (and are being) sold from hijacked RapidShare accounts. The Marketplace rules have been adjusted to reflect this change. [strike]One of the (red) admins still has to adjust the Marketplace description.[/strike]

Just thought I'd post this here so everyone is aware of this change and so we don't have to answer the why question a 100 times.

I don't mean to disagree with the decision but how is selling Rapids any different from the previously allowed sale of 1 month RS accounts?

If Rapids can easily be sold from stolen accounts, it was also possible to create accounts from points in stolen accounts & sell them. That is why sellers were asked to prove that they were generating new accounts from legit accounts by proving locked/unlocked screenshots. The same rule can be implemented for selling Rapids as well or is that not enough anymore due to some unforeseen development?

Lock/unlock screens can be from any account so they prove nothing. Maybe there isn't much of a difference between rapids and 1-month accounts. Both had this issue. That's why selling accounts is banned altogether now.
