As most file locker sites have lost their CC billing companies and are using small time billers like LR WMZ or resellers etc., how can one track sales for affiliates?
This means the hosts make money while affiliates work and dont even know how many sales have come in?

@jaguaar most of them with cookies, some of them use force registration and give you % from refferal (refferal from your link)
And some simply cheat you lol!

Yes the cheat part is what needs to be solved.
I am not sure how cookie will do the job. Affiliate uploads a file link to 50 forums, a user clicks on download link from one forum, decides to buy the premium from a reseller after 2 days of first downloading a file. I wonder how can the file sharing site know which affiliate's "hard work" should be credit with sales commission?

a user clicks your link, he gets a cookie, he wants to download faster and buys premium, he gets upgraded to premium, while the system upgrades the user it looks at the users cookie and credits the uploader that belongs to that cookie. There is no difference between CC or what ever billing system the user used to buy premium.

so which cookie are we talking about here?
The user clicks on download link posted by an affiliate at xyz.com forum. Wont it be xyz's cookie?
Or are you saying that when he comes over to filesharingsite.com, he will get a different cookie of the site which then can be used to identify which download url triggered the sale?

the second one, you get a cookie at the download page from the filehost, so the cookie the user gets is from the uploader, xyz.com would be a referrer
