I know alexa isn't the best but I need a rough idea of the top file hosts. Anyone know of any big ones I'm missing so I can update the list?

arh nice share Mr.Happy, and uhmm well I guess somehow Alexa is a bit right this time..

RS - We all know about it.
Mediafire - The best file host for uploading without any limitations or anything.
4shared - May be because it has all that what you need in a search. :S

For filefactory - i heard some rumors that its going down :|

That's no rumours, but a fact. Both filefactory and easy-share are losing traffic badly. They don't seem to be able to adapt to the today's cash-only oriented uploaders.

@ashufootball: suppose your right about megavideo but it's a big site and lots of warez sites have links to it so I'll make an exception.

As far as FileFactory and Easy-Share go if they add a good payment scheme they can bounce right back. If not no big deal. Their's new file host companies started every day.

It's a simple math. I guess they still earn more with current model and less traffic than they would make with more traffic and aggressive payment model.
