lol nothing about cash whore, may be what they get from the site they cant pay for the server cost, its just that they need some donations to keep the site running.

Why do you want to visit a site and you like it very much and not donate a thing? The admins are working hard for the site...
 
Whats wrong with donating a few bucks once and a while, most big warez sites can barely keep up with server costs (e.g.Rlslog). Cut them some slack.

With the amount of money they make from advertising, and the cheap server costs (hosted in .de), they should not be asking for more money.

I agree fully with BattleDuty. This is just another cashwhore admin trying to squeeze more money out of his users. Its even worse than Rlslog!
 
Fair point, except:
a) They clearly don't need the money (it can be made off advertisements);
b) They have chosen to ask people using a method most people would regard as a form of spam.
 
^^But why? Scorpian is already making shit load of money from ads, file-host.

Why he hosted site on some shit server and now asking for donation ?

Instead they can shut down their site.

how much will they pay for the server ? $100/month ? is it big ?, they earn $1k or more just from the file hosts and more with the pubs, they just need to earn more money.

Why you call cash whore? Do you think everybody interested in public service, lol?? They must be needed money for server cost and else and what is wrong with them in asking some $ if they doing immense in back?

He called them cash whores because its the truth. I counted over 6 adverts on one page. With the type of traffic they are getting I assume they receive approximately 20-30 USD per day, probably much more. Over a month that equates to around 930 USD.

They are hosted with Giga-hosting. The most expensive dedicated server plan they do costs 120 Euros, equal to about 160 USD. That leaves 770 USD left over for other costs, which is more than enough.

I am not saying it is wrong to make a profit, I am saying it is wrong to plead with site visitors for donations when you are already comfortably covering your costs.
 
All Warez Sites are going to be shut down one day. (The day is very near)

I guess they realized this earlier and thought to make as many bucks they could before the shut down of their site.
 
How many of you receive this email? I as a member didn't receive this email. And as I heard from my friend, they only request donation from Poster group who are making profit from their site
