Temporarily redirect domain to another domain

i have a domain that the hosting is suspended because i didnt renew so it cant be accessed. now, i want to make a temporary site (new FREE domain and hosting). how to make my old domain redirect to my temp site? where to config? can it be config via domain provider?

please help.

You can remove the A record that points to the IP of the server and add a "*" CNAME record with the new domain as value.

Knowing which domain registar you use will help with instructions on how to temporarily redirect a domain to another domain.

As stated above you can remove the A record and then CNAME the new domain to have it point to the new domain.

Most Domain Registrars have a temporary redirect option in the dash board.

That's right, it's the simplest way. Ask support or try to find this info yourself in their help center.
