i suggest you just go to a store and test out any laptop in your price range. almost everything has the same specs. sure there are things to consider. but the main thing about a laptop is the feel. if your laptop is badass but feels like shit thats gonna totally annoy you. but if you can get a laptop thats comfortable and can do the job its much better in the long run.

ive had my IBM T60 for over 6 years. its kinda slow for todays standards. but gets the job done. all i need it for is the net and watching videos. which it can easily do. and if my laptop is 6 years old then almost anything is better than what i got. ive been looking to get a new one though. i love IBMs. they have a great feel and are super reliable. check out refurbished lenovo laptops if you have a budget. they might say they are refurbished but pretty much nothings wrong with them. my dad got a refurbished and all it had was a minor scratch. and was ~$200 cheaper
