What is Gil in Final Fantasy Games?
Gil, also translated as GP, Gold and G, is the currency in all Final Fantasy games. It is bought during the game and is used for various purchases and sometimes for certain features like Gil Toss.

Gil is the current standard currency of Eorzea. Players can earn it by completing quests and level missions, defeating certain enemies, or selling various items to NPCs or appearing on market committees. The symbol for Gil in the text seems to be a mixture of an inverted G and a P, possibly a synonym for the acronym "GP" which is sometimes used in the franchise. Although the appearance of the Gil coin may vary depending on the coin (as well as the denomination), the coin symbol on the user interface shows the face of Nymeia, the spinner, the goddess of fate.

The Use of FFXIV Gil
Charm and henchmen. Also check your description. You ask how much money we spend on girls. Very strange lesbian ERP with BDSM, Pentamelds, Glamours and Minions.

Most daily expenses are food / pots (easily 50,000 to 100,000 per night if you use pots for each train), except for the large temporary pools like transportation and repairs. The main condition of the Raider is that you have to pay 10 to 20 million every 6 months to benefit from the material and process costs.

Unless you have between 10 and 20 million Gil transfers every two years, Gil is essentially useless to you for efficiency reasons. You may receive glamour items, but they will always fall to a reasonable level over time. You can get handmade items, but that basically just means spending Gil to get Gil to do nothing (don't knock craftsmen in any way, but if you only make Gil, you're not really using it for Gil, are you?) .

Today, the currency commonly known as FFXIV Gil was introduced about 100 years ago by the city-state of Eorzea to strengthen trade relations after the Fall War. Before that, each city-state minted and regulated its own currency, which led to unpredictable exchange rates and caused many traders to use old Allagan coins instead of other coins. The leaders of Eorzea recognized the wisdom of this approach (and the desire for tighter control over the money supply) and announced the creation of the new Gil. They also ordered that its value be standardized in all countries. To promote adoption, it was also designed along the lines of its predecessor.

To express solidarity, these coins would initially bear the image of the "twelve" rather than the image of the beloved individual of a single nation. As time went by, the gil became more and more popular, politics was loosened and the number of motifs on the coins increased. A famous example are those forged in recent years to commemorate the reform of the Eurasian Union.

How do I use Gil in FFXIV?
Gil is the main currency and is measured in base 10. Also, the exact value of Gil varies between games. For example, potions cost 30 Gil in Final Fantasy IV, 250 Gil in Final Fantasy VI and 100 Gil in Final Fantasy VII. Some items, such as the Elixir of Immortality, are inexpensive and often cost only 1 Gil, which should prevent players from selling such rare items. In most games, the value of items is common from store to store and city to city, and the price of items does not change depending on where the player buys. With a few exceptions, players may receive discounts in certain stores, but this is rare.

Gil has many other uses, such as the Gil Toss feature, which allows the player to damage enemies by throwing money at them. Gil Toss often does a lot of damage, but the obvious disadvantage is that it costs a lot of Gil. In Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, Gil could be used to bribe monsters to leave the battle and lure Yojimbo to attack enemies. In Final Fantasy XII, the Turtleshell Choker accessory allows well-equipped team members to cast spells using Gil instead of MP.

In Final Fantasy VII, Gil and GP are treated as separate currencies. In The Golden Saucer amusement park, GP is used to pay for many attractions while others require Gil. GP is also used to buy items from the park. GP is normally not interchangeable with Gil, but a person happens to appear outside the park and sell the player's GP for 100 Gil per person. Otherwise, GP can only be earned by winning the UFO mini-game.
