A Generator Pro - AI-Powered Metadata for Your Images
Tired of manually tagging your images? Let AI do the heavy lifting!
Hey WJunction community,
I'd like to introduce a tool I've been working on called META Generator Pro. It's a desktop application designed to automatically generate high-quality, relevant metadata (titles, descriptions, and keywords) for your images using AI.
Whether you're a stock photographer, a content creator, or managing large image libraries, this tool is built to save you a massive amount of time. This guide will walk you through how to get started and make the most of its features.
Getting Started: First-Time Setup
When you launch the software for the first time, it runs a quick one-time setup to get you going.
How to Get Your (Free) Google AI API Key
You need a Google AI API key for the software to work. They are free and easy to get.
How to Use the Software: Step-by-Step
The process is designed to be simple and efficient.
Step 1: Load Your Images
Click the big "Load Images" button to select all the .jpg or .png files you want to process. They'll appear in a grid, ready to go.
Step 2: Start the Generation Process
Hit the "Start Generation" button. The software will start processing your images one by one, using the AI to create a title, description, and keywords.
Step 3: Access Your Completed Files
As soon as an image is processed, the new file with the embedded metadata is saved to an output folder. The software even sorts them for you:

[]Register Your License: First, you'll be asked for your email address to link your device to a license.
[]Activate with Your API Key: Check your email for a license key (it will look like MGPRO-...). Paste this in to activate the software.- Configure Google AI: The final step is to add your Google AI API keys. The software uses these to generate all the metadata.
How to Get Your (Free) Google AI API Key
You need a Google AI API key for the software to work. They are free and easy to get.
[]Go to the Google AI Studio website.
[]Sign in with your Google account.
[]Click on the "Get API key" button, then "Create API key in new project".
[]Copy your new key. You can paste multiple keys into the software for better performance and to avoid rate limits.
[]Live Progress: A progress bar at the top shows you the overall status.
[]Card Status:Each image will show its current status:
[]Pending: In the queue.
[]Processing: Being analyzed by the AI.
[]Generated: Done! Metadata has been saved.
[]Error: Something went wrong (usually an invalid API key).
- You can stop the process anytime by clicking "Stop Generation".
Step 3: Access Your Completed Files
As soon as an image is processed, the new file with the embedded metadata is saved to an output folder. The software even sorts them for you:
[]Standard Images: Saved to the completed_META folder.
[]Vertical (9:16) Images: Ideal for mobile content (like Zedge), these are automatically saved to the completed_META_Zedge folder.
Here are some of the key features designed to streamline your workflow:
The app automatically checks for new versions and gives you a simple pop-up with a download link. There's also a sliding announcement bar at the top for important news and tips.
Once an image is Generated, you can click on it to open a dialog box. Here, you can review, edit, or completely rewrite the AI-generated metadata to make sure it's perfect.
In the "Settings" page, you can manage your Google AI API keys and customize the output folders. All your settings are saved automatically.
The "FTP Upload" tab has a powerful, built-in client to send your processed images directly to your servers.
[]Automatic Uploads: Check the Automatically upload after generation box for a "fire-and-forget" workflow. Once generation is done, the app will switch to the FTP tab and start uploading.
[]Concurrent Uploads: Set the number of simultaneous uploads (default is 4) to upload to multiple servers at once, which is a massive time-saver for large batches.
[]Intelligent Routing: When setting up an FTP account, you can now specify what kind of images it should accept: All, Standard Only, or Vertical (9:16) Only. This lets you automatically send Zedge content to one server and standard stock photos to another in a single session.
[]Account Management:Securely save connection details for multiple FTP/SFTP servers. You can also define account types:
[]Unique Accounts: Images are distributed one by one across these accounts (image 1 to server A, image 2 to server B, etc.).
[]Mirror Accounts: Every image is uploaded to all mirror accounts.
