Hey Guys,

I was one of his first customers and in the end, just like any other server it was super fast, it would never lag. Past 3-4 days, the speeds I get while downloading from RS is like 100-200kbps. Let's not talk about uploading. He keeps saying he is looking into it. And he said his provider could not find the problem. So what's worst is that two days back, (I have two RL scripts hosted), from one of my RL script, my rs acc which was unlocked had a password change, had over 3k rapids. My HF acc had a password change, the HF acc wasn't rly mine, it was hacked so it's fine. Anyway, I have contacted RS waiting for their reply.

I am pretty sure it must be him or someone who has the root password and probably that's how he access my files. I suggest if you are looking for RL hosting, go to another host. =]

Oh wow! That's unfortunate. Did you use you a strong Cpanel password?

How did they hack your HF & RS account? Wasn't the security lock in place?
 
Yeah, cPanel pass was strong, checked the last log in, it was my IP so yeah I am sure cPanel wasn't hacked.

My RS acc wasn't locked, stated it. I don't rly care bout the HF though =]
 
you don't get it...

1. The original owner of that hotfile account, got fucked because his account got hacked.
2. Now you are using his account right?
3. Now you are fucked by your host.

So who cares?

You fuck someone, and someone fucks you ;)
 
Omg you guys are dumb..
Basically I was using the owner's acc. I didn't change his pass. If you change pass, he can contact HF and recover it, just the thing I am going to do for my RS acc.
 
I am not rly asking, it says review, it doesn't say HELP ME MY ACCOUNT GOT HACKED.

Basically that's the side point, the main point is that the server has a lot of lag, probably cause of some clients abusing it.
You got some issues localhost. ^o)

Not to jump in the thread I see sniffdog online everyday I spoke with him earlier yesterday. I don't believe sniffdog would do something like this though as he's very honest. When I'm mostly on msn he is always online.
 
I have to agree that for the past few weeks the site is really lagging. But I've emailed him and this is what he said.

we have sometimes problems with RL not releasing processes automatically if a user finishes a process. This keeps the cpu occupied for 100%. If I notice this and kill the process the load goes down immediately to acceptable levels.

I observe all processes continuously and never notice somebody abusing the server. Of course I can't monitor if I am asleep.

I asked the provider about this problem and suggested it's maybe a hidden Cpanel process.

The site loads ok for me right now. Not fast, but acceptable. I believe he'll respond you soon as he did reply my PM within a day. And i seriously don't think sniffdog would do something like what you've described. If i'm not wrong, he has a rapidshare account that will last him for years.
