Wow! What a whirlwind of responses that truly run the gamut. Well, being an internationally popular website, this comes with the territory. We welcome any and all feedback.
SlingFile was founded in 2009, and exchanged hands in 2010. We have been working from then until 2011 to make the system and payout system more robust. So, we've been unable to check outside of our regular support forums for the last few months.
We are creating an official support forum here today. Generally, it's always the best policy to go directly to the website itself for any support or assistance, particularly when it's important to you.
Our support team does scan these forums and other bb's, but of course feedback is hit and miss in that case. So, it would make sense to go direct for the best assistance. You can always reach us via the support form on our webpage, and we respond within 24-48 hours, 1-2 business days.
For those asking for free premium accounts, not too many websites offer that, we do not either. Our paid accounts are very reasonably priced, and you can even try a free trial very inexpensively to see if our services best meet your needs.
As for payment proof, the best proof happens when you use the site yourself. As has been posted, anyone, employees, or no, can post screenshots, but you don't know how well it works until you use the site yourself. Being that basic membership is always free, and we're a site that pays you for file hosting, storage, and sharing, it's a winning proposition, for sure.
As for copying other sites, many webmasters, online content creators, and investors model other websites and business models in the effort to build businesses. This is why templates and communities such as Creative Commons exist. Emulating other successful business owners (a practice as old as time) is no reason to rule out the validity or legitimacy of a website.
It's very easy for people to tear something or someone else down, be they a competitor, someone who is jealous, or someone who is negative in general. It's a fair playing field in the world on online transactions and business, and so we take our lumps accordingly. This is a part of the business world.
When in doubt, investigate for yourself. Scams tend to require an investment of some kind without a return. Our rates of return are very clearly indicated on our website, and no membership or investment is even required for earning such returns.

You only have 1 FTP server in US, and the maximum connection is limit to 1.
The upload speed from UK can only achieve 500 ~ 600 KB/s.
It's too hard to work with your host.

About speeds in general:
Depending on your connectivity to our server network, your upload speed may be limited and slower than what you expect.
But, do we cap upload speeds? No, we don't. Again, depends on your server network. Throughput may be limited and slower than what you expect.
If you're a premium user, you may wish to install "Free Download Manager" software for improved download speed and extended features such as the ability to resume interrupted downloads.
As for download speeds, yes those are capped. But stilll, anonymous and free users can download at speeds up to 500 KB/sec.
In comparison, premium users can download at speeds up to 1 Gbit/sec.
As for uploading through FTP: We currently have servers only in the US to handle FTP uploads. In the near future, we will install servers in Europe for better upload speeds for European customers. We only allow one simultaneous connection from a single IP for security reasons.
If you're experiencing FTP connectivity issues such as slow upload speeds etc. we would like to let you know that the upload speed depends upon your connectivity to our server network.
