my site got hacked which was running ipb 2.1 with shoutbox enabled

can u someone help me regarding this>?

probly had a bad host maybe if you used nulled on a usa host then ipb will get access

Why isn't anyone stating the obvious? Ipb 2.1 is from 2006... I guess there are some exploits.. You should at least use 2.3 ...

IPB 2.1 have no security
u should have latest version of it.

Try 2.3.6 or 3x series for make ur site secure + your hosting should be from Offshore

You guys are totally right. I found out that ipb 2.1 has many flaws and i m now opting for ipb 3 latest version to prevent this in future.

if you have a back up then just talk to ur hosting provider

and use the backup
