First of all if any IPB, XenForo or vBulletin fanboys are about to reply, you just ruin the post, so fanboys give yourself a cowboy boot

I'm thinking switching to XenForo from IPB... I find XenForo way faster, better (SEO wise at least) and i also think that it's design just looks a more futuristic software... what you think? Should i proceed? All i worry about is...the skins :(

Well everything you said is almost true XenForo is good software i mean everyone knows who made it, however do not worry about skins there are already several XenForo skins developers just google it.

For 99% of new sites started by WJunction members it won't matter as (and I'm just being honest here) most sites never get big, have active communities or last longer than a few months.

XenForo isn't a well built script. It's framework is poorly designed modeled on vBulletin. It's like a really old crappy car that has a nice fancy body kit. It's looks great but underneath the engine is still shit but your not going to notice until it's too late.

The vBulletin issue brings up another problem. XenForo are being sued by the vBulletin owners and while most of the XenForo community disagree I think vBulletin have a very strong case and could win. If this happens it's pretty much the end of XenForo. They would have to completely redesign the script sending them back years effectively killing the project.

For most people this doesn't matter but if I were starting a long term project I was serious about I'd want security in the future of the script I was choosing.

^^
I have seen you more than once, supporting IPB and trashing other Boards.
Could you please give a concrete explanation. I would certainly like to know why you have that opinion.

Till now, you have been speaking in very vague terms.
Like 'It's framework is poorly designed modeled on vBulletin'

Could you please explain a bit more. (Or at least link to an explanation)
