I was thinking of removing the porn section for WarezLobby, to keep the site clean. Our porn section has been reducing our activity by a lot even though it brings in a lot of traffic.
There are many underage kids who only visit once and then never come back again because of the porn forum.

My idea was to remove the porn forum from WarezLobby and start a new site just for porn.

What do you guys think?

Interesting, it shouldn't effect your member count just because you have porn on there.
If members don't want to view it, they dont have to
 
I've been wanting to remove the porn section from WarezLobby for a long time now.
We have many members complaining that they can't visit the site often because of the porn forum. Also many of them just leave once they see the porn.

I really want to turn WarezLobby into a site suitable for all ages.
 
Or what you could do is either;

- Have a question on registration if the guests would like to see the XXX Zone, if they state yes it shows obviously if they set it to no then it doesn't show. That way you don't lose traffic.

- There's some vb mod around where you can set the DOB to access specific forums, you could make the XXX Zone visible to 18+ only.

- Remove the god damn section.

Its really a personal choice i removed the porn section from my site in order to keep the site clean and because we are not a porn forum if you want porn there are alot of other sites out there dedicated for that stuff. some forums have an adult section some don't its simply the choice of the webmaster.
 
i dont see why it should bother them if its just one section :| if u dont want to see it then dont click it its not like ur putting naked chicks all over the screen or something
 
That's why I quickly seperated the porn section at the early stages of my site, and made a new site just dedicated to porn. This keeps the visitors rolling + it helps to speed up both the sites collection. A warez forum with a section for Porn can never beat a site that is fully dedicated to Porn. eg, Pornbb, HornyWhores.

Warez + Porn Warez shouldn't be mixed together, but although its possible for a forum to do so, its worse/impossible for a blog to do that.

Its more when people click "new posts" its annoying seeing stuff like "HOT BLONDE FUCKED IN ASS" especially when you have family in the same room with you.
 
Lobbyporn.com, quick someone steal the domain rofl disable the porn section and see how it goes if its the same then enable it i guess. I would write up a poll on the forum and get the opinion of your members rather than making a solo decision.
 
why wud he need the opinion of the whole forum? pretty useless when we all know how porn sells.

i will guarantee u the traffic you want to gain from disallowing porn... you will also lose a fair share of the traffic who used to visit your site for porn (that is if ur site was active in the porn scene)

like i already said, best way is to have seperate sites or if you don't want that what's the problem setting up a subdomain for porn only? porn.warezlobby.org. link it from warezlobby.
 
You should remove it, the higher percentage of your forum is aimed at regular downloads, so it's best to keep it clean for all ages.

You can always create a separate forum/site just for porn.
