Hey sup guys,

I currently have Windows and was thinking of migrating to Ubuntu fully. I have used ubuntu quite some many times but had some questions.

1. Can you install adobe photoshop and dreamweaver and flash on ubuntu.
2. What can you do that you cant do on Windows

3. Can you show me how you have made your background of Ubuntu would love it.

Also would you suggest a few things to be installed once ubuntu is setup

Like Wine..

What else guys.

Need suggestions so i can transform my laptop today to Ubuntu. :)

yeah putty is a must, but u dont need that in Ubuntu since there is Terminal :) But yet u can install Putty :)

Any other cool stuff what you can do with Ubuntu?

Is it stable?

Oh yea! I used Terminal was much better then putty because right click paste didn't work.

You can edit ubuntu because its open source? Idk what the rules are with that.

Better don't, we can act like some linux/unix guys, but I know that I got used to the good ol' XP, and I just can't without it. I just don't know why would anyone change its OS if he used it long time, if it was good to him before, why isn't it now? Or he just wants change. In that case, if you want a change to learn more about linux/unix OS distributions, start with some other distribution. Not the Ubuntu, as it's very easy, and all you have to do is click - click - click. So you pretty much have nothing to learn, true is you can use terminal. But you don't have to use it for everything. That's the whole point.

Ubuntu has a great documentation, and its support forum is quite active. So you'd have no problems. About the Photoshop/Dreamweaver thing, I really have no idea can you use them. But the alternative is quite good, Gimp for the Graphics. And Vim for the coding, anyways, there are lots of text editors for linux/unix, and most of them are freeware.

Download the disc , pop it in, it will ask if you want to dual boot, click yes, and use both systems. You can always install it alone later.( its all I use on my comps)
