RROD happens when you play xbox for continuous for a week and switch it on. due to heat. but yes if you put an external fan or increase the fan speed, then its not a problem.
i own both ps3 and xbox360... ps3 is good if the custom firmwares are regularly updated. but now stuck on 3.55. and cant play new games. so only option i have is to get back to original firmware and i lose the jailbreak for life.
xbox360 community is very active about modding. within few weeks they hacked the new locks of xbox with lt+ 2.0, now i can play fifa2012, gears of war 3.
