Hello,
As you may be aware, we have had a few recent issues with shared node 1 but we fixed up all issues with it and it was running obviously at its best . But today after we upgraded to the latest version of cPanel . Once this was done our cPanel was breached on Sunday the 28th of Oct. at approximately 2am IST. This first hacking allowed the intruder to terminate anything hosted on this server .
Then after the backup node which is linked to this server is also cleaned by the same guy . So unfortunately we got nothing in out hands . We don't want to hide anything that's why we clearly specified that we got no backup's with us now . We checked 10 times each and every node for the same activity , but only the shared 1 node has got cleaned .
What to do next ?
Well , firstly we are extremely sorry for the issue , but this is what we also never expected . Now we ordered the new server instead of this one , so maybe we can get the server on Sunday 28th by 3 PM IST , then only we can start deploying accounts and setting up everything .
Any client that has not had their service returned or resumed by the given time , please respond to this email with the registered email ID on your account or raise a ticket , so that we can have your service back by today. We want to see the back of this issue - any client of ours knows these are not our normal practices.

Your site will never go online again.Shineservers have no backup of the hosted sites.They wasted our hard work.

I can't believe the only host which is taking backup everyday after every 2-3 hour and suddenly saying that all the data has been wiped because of some hacker hacked into it. are you really that unproffesional that some guys can really breach into your security and wiped everything.
Now i have lost almost 200 post which i made it in a week. What would i suppose to do with my old back up. All the hardwork which we put it is now gone in a wind.
Shineservers ruined my 8 days work.

It's one thing to be sorry but in the mean time, our sites are down and many customers have lost their data (although it's the customer's responsability to backup their sites).
The fact that one guy can hack the main server AND the backup node raises many concerns about security too.
I was supposed to renew in the next days but frankly, now I'm hesitating.

well im got a vps from elsewhere as i dont think i can risk this again i lost 30gb of files

Sorry to hear a good host is hacked.

every hosting service has got problems. The important thing is that if they can put the service again in a short time and have their customer's backup data. I've been using many shared hosting services and I think shineservers is one of the best.
Unluckily this time they lose the backup data. I hope it won't take shineservers much time to install new server like hilohost did. It took them a half month to do that (of course no back up)
