It's not just about SEO. You have to think of a website as a package as Wau was showing. A real webmaster won't just concentrate on SEO but concentrate on the site all together. For example you said not to use the keyword torrent but that's how DDL sites make money, by offering links to cash affiliate sites that use sign-up's and torrents. If you throw a keyword like Rapidshare or Hotfile into a cash affiliate link your conversion rate is reduced. If you use the right keywords in the right places which is often the keyword torrent you can not only increase your traffic but also increase your income. If you have half the traffic but three times the income your doing better than the site with more traffic.

Perfect example is PhazeDDL which makes more money than Katz. If you've that much money you don't care if your second best or what your webmasters think of your support service.

In the case of Whoo and his DDL site it's not just a case of SEO and traffic but it's a whole user experience and conversion for both webmasters, and downloaders.

Saying something as simple as don't use the keyword "torrent" is wrong.

that was only a keyword example.
if you nothing like torrent on your site then why to use it.
I did wrong example. Sorry for that.
Here is the example
If your website is belong to shirts then don't use keywords like shoes, pants. It will give you traffic but increase your bounce rate.

Your are wrong, a DDL site should be dynamic to get the best results from the search engines.

With a DDL site you are aiming to rank for downloads by download keywords. That must include the keyword torrent, simply because that's where you can get a lot of hits from.

Take a look at the last searched terms of my website:
http://extremetracking.com/open;ref1?login=undern
(scroll down down down )

See how often the site get's found by downloadname and torrent as keyword? Im not providing any torrents, but I do pretend to provide torrents.

There is no way it will bounce off, since the crawler doesn't have a basic setup on how a torrent site should look like.

Now combine download names, and several well searched download keywords and you will hit the jackpot.

If we would have to remove torrents to prevent bouncing we should completely stop using dynamic content. Why? Because 90% of the traffic I get to my DDL sites are downloads that are not even on there.

That's the whole concept of a dynamic DDL site. Being fucking dynamic.

With your dumb advice you would kill 30% of his traffic. Well done
