Apparently Worldstream rebooted his server and he doesn't have httpd configured to start on boot. He's currently on his phone (on msn) so he can't do a thing (SSH in and start httpd), but he'll be back home soon.

/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -f /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf

/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd = apache location
/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf = apache configuration file

I said I would look into why. we have concluded that its a DDoS attack. If you are one of our clients I am sorry about the downtime...

Wtf, firstly almost 24 hours of downtime and now, when secura host backed online, my site is suspended without any warnings, e-mails or something..

What happed was I asked Worldstream to install 4GB more of ram. When they did this the ram they used was faulty.

Thats the reason for the downtime.

i hate when that happens! i don't see why datacenter's don't check their hardware lol

I am using Securahost a bit more than a month and have to say, uptime and speeds are perfect (except that 1 downtime long before). I went to this hosting from hostbeyond, and hey, i feel like i would be still with hostbeyond. I mean uptime is 100% all the time, so its best value for money (in my case only 5$). I am wondering why no one still replied to this thread with a good review, especially when there were a possibility to get first month of free host. Highly recommended!
