Backlinks

Backlinks are a fundamental key to success in Search Engine Optimization. Having as many backlinks as possible is key to raising your websites pagerank and position in the SERPS. While quantity of backlinks is very important, not all backlinks are created equal.

Attempt to establish backlinks on pages with a high pagerank, the higher the pagerank, the more of a positive effect the backlink will have for your website. For example, a backlink from a page with a PR5 has much more positive effect than a backlink from a page with PR1.

Keywords

A very important aspect of SEO optimization are keywords. having high quality, rich keywords which are relevant to the niche you are focusing on will surely help you get targeted visitors who will buy your product.

Links From Various Sources

Getting links from various sources and different computers is also key. Google understands the power of having multiple people link to your website. If all links established for the site come from a single computer, its not as effective as if the many links come from many different sources.

I hope this post helped you learn more about SEO & some of the amazing ways SEO can help your website. Remember, the goal of SEO is to get more visitors.;)

Although backlinks are essential in SEO, don't you think after the Penguin update, we should be more cautious about them? Like instead of making them ourselves, we should rely on natural backlinks?
