Proof that there's no reliable hosting provider on WJunction. All of them are just 'Daddy resellers'. Just because they have connections with few people from some Datacenter, doesn't mean that they can provide good services. It's just sad that people actually believe them. I know that most of you will say now: "But where will I go?" , "You know any decent shared hosting?". Frankly, I don't know. But It's not that hard to find some decent shared web hosting. Especially if you send them some nice e-mail about their services, do they allow posting of links from file hosts such as rapidshare, fileserve, hotfile, megaupload, etc. To explain them the whole 'warez' theory. Because most of the people from those Datacenters are older guys. Who think that when you say warez forum, that you will actually host files on their server. If you explain them about reports and everything, that you will actually delete every thread that DMCA asks. And that you will write them nice replies. I'm sure all big web hosting providers would accept your forum, and even copyright organizations wouldn't send complaints.

Link sharing is everywhere, especially on big news portal forums, social forums, etc. But they don't have 'warez-something' in their domain name. They don't 'submit' to DDL's their threads. They stay low-profile...

Jason its not that hard to find reliable shared hosting but most people here want to pay 1 dollar a month for hosting thats why they end up with crap

i agree bx.. most here are looking for the least expensive, then complain when they run into issues with them. Scopehosts i was even on for a while, and it looks like after they were hacked or whatever happened there they must have closed up shop,as many hosts from here do,the main reason being imo hosting to many rapidleech users which just rapes the servers, hence why any decent host will not allow it.

Well that sucks, I cant believe people do this especially to good hearted people and or friends.

You have to think about how many clients the company prob had.

yep... it looks so... i didn't get an answer now from the day vps9.net was sold to them.

i wanted to buy vps9.net already, but no answer. :S

Not even fully true. Hosts come and go. Yea many always pop up, but at the end of the month its either you make it for break it. Tha'ts how it starts with a company, start selling shared, reseller, then some VPS and soon dedicated servers. and soon enough you get a colo and possibly your own datacenter. It pretty much tells the story of who is here to make it or who is here to make a quick buck.

In all honesty, I am just really interested in hosting and helping out people, that is why I have just a big interest in web hosting. I have been going strong since September and have no plans on stopping now.

Good luck to all. ;)

I disagree. If you are going to start a hosting company, you better be ready not to have profit, yet alone the servers pay for themselves for at least a few months. If it does really well so be it, but if you can't start on a stable foundation, don't go into that line of business.

What you are providing affects people, they put time, energy and money into their sites. Realize it's important to them and offer a sustainable service.

You misread my point. Most hosts start broke as I did. And most feel if they are not making any profit after a month or two, they feel that they shouldnt have to pay anything more from thier pocket and that is why most don't last. If it doesnt make as much as they think it should, webhost goes down.

So far its been 3 months for me and profit isn't much and I still have to pay out of pocket, but see that's the thing, I'm willing to take that investment. Its still small and CrypticVPS has a lot to work on.

I learned it the hard way.
Since I bought a vps directly from a datacenter my headaches were gone.
No speeds probs, high cpu usage, non existent or childish support.
Well worth the extra money.

I guess that's the main reason why scamming ppl isn't so hard.

This is the problem with WJunction. Everyone feels offended, even though I haven't mentioned YOU. Or any other Web Hoster. I'm glad that you're able to provide services since September, but there's no reason to get offended without reason. Fact is that almost everyone run away after few weeks, months, and sometimes years like this case with ScopeHosts.

Common sense man... You are on WJunction longer than me, and you know how many 'companies' failed... None of them had plans to stop providing, but they had to. They don't go in school to learn more about system administration, or programming languages. They can't provide full support, I mean. Even I can solve common problems, e.g. Some CMS's won't work on server with default setup because of time zone, ini_set, etc. Those are the problems that everyone can solve, with just Googling around. That doesn't make you some 'Sys Administrator' or 'Server Guru'.

People who actually want to live from Internet Services won't start from selling shared hosting, they will invest money into their services. They will hire professionals. Only younger people who still have some time to spend will start with shared web hosting, if they earn some decent money they will buy dedicated server because almost every company here is powered by VPS. And I said ALMOST EVERY. Didn't said every company, so don't be offended again if you really rent your dedicated server... However, this is just bullshit talk. I can't convince you, you can't convince me. No point.

You didn't offend me at all. Just saying some people know how to market their hosting faster then others. Most people just get stuck selling on shared and reseller because thats all they know how to do.

FOr a fact I don't know everything, but asking around and google has done me a long way. College next year means taking server administration courses to help better my knowledge and soo on.

You didn't offend me. I just felt like I wanted people to know..

And yea, we will probably never agree but its cool. :)

Most people stuck on selling shared and reseller because it gets more money than VPS and Dedicated Servers sales. There is every day some new Cafe Shop opened, some grocery store, new fashion designer is born, model.. All of them need their Internet presentation. Since they're not experienced in Internet Stuff, you can sell them shared hosting pack + domain for 50$ monthly if you want. Because you can do it, those people are aiming at older audience. Not teenagers who thinks that 5$ is expensive for shared web hosting. Just think about it... Is there more money in selling it locally, or trying to sell it online on forums?

If you are lucky your service is still online so take your backups and move elsewhere. They got hacked, the attacker got all clients info(via WHMcs, including clients root passwords from support tickets) and access to all servers(since WHM and SolusVM were linked with WHMcs) so everything is most probably backdoored. Now, their site appears to be down and their servers are down or randomly go down and up(VPS9) which proves they can't handle business and they are basically dead.

They don't answer support tickets and the owner disappeared. As I said, if you are lucky and your service it still online, take your data and move elsewhere if you haven't already. If anyone needs help with migrating your sites/data over to new servers and choosing a new hosting provider please send me a PM. I will be more than happy to help.

P.S Signature removed.

Yeah seems like they have disappeared, i was lucky not to have dealt with them for long, when i started photonservers, used to provide vps servers from them, had a few issues when someone of our client for vps was banned and we got a bad review from them, then ever since i just started going direct to the datacentre's not even resellers.

paid my bill with them today, had to make a choice and I chose to stick it out and see what happens, at most all I lose is $15.

Ive called him once now, I think ill call again 2morro.
