Santrex or Netdirekt Dedicated Rapidleech

I am looking to get a Dedicated Rapidleech server for my staff and I.

I would like to know if anyone knows which one is faster. Both will be out of Germany and they both cost close to the same.

I want to know which one is faster downloading to Rapidshare.

I have a cheap Netdirekt server right now and I get about 4mb/s and I am wondering if it's worth it to change servers or just up and move companies.

From what I hear about Santrex you will get the same amount of uptime with this server:

Read reviews on them. Not here on WJ, but use webhostingtalk.com

In Santrex defense I hear the uptime is good with dedicated servers. Just support is lousy. VPS/shared slow and down most of the time. Support is rude if you get a reply. I asked some questions and didn't get a reply so I asked again and got a rude email. Never did signup.
 
Yeah that's why I added the "In Santrex defense I hear the uptime is good with dedicated servers" because I figured people would just jump in and say how they are down all the time. Had they replied to me I'd be able to give you a review.
 
Yes I am getting a dedi to run rapidleech

My home connection sucks and I have money so I'm gonna get a dedi in germany because all the RL hosts here oversell and the speed SUCKS

Just be carefull, dosent mean if u get a dedi your RL will fly and rar/un rar will work good, sometimes you have have a Dedi sever but it could also suck bad, for example the port speed could be shit .
 
I love santrex. Support was always fast and friendly when I was with them. Once in a while I would get an inexperienced person answering my ticket, so I would request to speak with this one guy I knew that had his head on his shoulders and knew what he was saying, Khaled Cook.
 
i have one vps and two shared in santrex.. but last days i facing some problems like server down and continuosly disconnected. it becomes more shit..Last year i was happy with santex but this year probably i will move my websites to other hosts.Because my vps even cannot handle ONE wordpress and cronjob website!!!
 
Well, let me tell you my experience.

Santrex for shared and reseller hosting, really sucks. 99% downtime. and Bad support. Really a very bad support, but whats worse is overselling.

With vps, i have good experiences, but they are not very reliable. Dont even think to host a site in their vps, cause they are only for spamming, rapidleech, etc etc.
For rapidleech, I experience really high speeds while downloading, uploading to rapidshare or hotfile. even i could upload 700mb movies to storage in less than 1 minute. BUt once again, you can experience downtimes, and during peak hours you cant access your vps.

With Dedicated servers, i experience great download - upload speeds, but also incredible rar-unrar speed. Server was not mine, was from a friend.

I think it was this server :

FRANCECore i7 920 8x 2.66+ GHz
12 GB RAM
4 x 1.5 TB HD
1Gbit connection. Unmetered

$179 US$ a month with 100$ setup.

I dont know if you can get a server with those specs at that price. But once again i say, SANTREX SUCKS, SUPPORT SUCKS, AND DEFINITLY IF I HAD THE MONEY TO BUY A DEDI, I WONT DO IT WITH SANTREX, NOT EVEN THE BEST DEDI SERVER FOR 1,99$
 
well if anyone says downtime for Santrex, must be a bad server FreeDDL.org is running on it, as well as my business sites.. and ive been with em for about a month with 0 downtime,and they respond to my support tickets within 3hrs.. Best support time ive ever seen.

id go with Santrex
 
Thanks guys I put in an order for santrex

I'm not a noob and I can basically do anything I want to a linux server so the only thing I could possibly need is a reboot which is included in the package and on the rare occasion a OS reinstall..

So I really could care less about support :D

are you hosted in a vps or in shared/reseller account ?
I guess that youre on a vps. Go, just buy a 3$ shared account and check their uptime. Is arround 70%. not even mention reseller accounts.
 
Netdirekt is the way to go, or with one of their resellers etc. if you are interested in getting support as well.

most resellers have better deals then they do. when it comes to extra BW or port upgrades etc.
