RS Now needs 5K FP+ 5K PP to generate account

well many of you are forgetting that Free points were worthless upto now. The points earned were wasted. Even if you get Free Points =1/4 of Premium points nothing has changed for anyone, those who got many free already or who get them at better rate are at advantage :)
 
but I could extend my premium acc for less premium points when converting b4 than now


although I like the 1 year thing but they still took 2k more points for each month which is 20% which is really high in business

not to mention the fact that they don't give rewards or money no more. That said however prices of RS acc in black market will go up again. what am I supposed to do with my 500 k points?!!!

Want more FPs. post just before or in the Happy Hour. More PP, post outside Happy Hour.

Those doom thinkers might consider that RS gets you more points in a shorter time than ANY other host and with this new rule Collector's Account holders can utilize their free points which until now were useless (after the disappearance of the premiums).
 
Note, there's a difference (Rs's mistake, probably) in exchange rates!

In default Premium Zone:

It's better to exchange points in the New Premium Zone. I think Rapidshare might notice this in a few days. I made a premium account for 8,000 premium points about 7 hours ago. I got in before the change.

Now I'll HAVE to start exchanging points. It takes me a long time to build up to 5,000 FP. I get PP easily, like everyone else.
 
Yup, this sucks for uploaders...even though it looks great initially that you can use whatever FP you already have, don't forget that after you use up your FP, every single account is going to cost you 10k PP vs 8k PP if you don't make FP. Prices will definitely have to go up.

If they additionally decide to change the rules about what counts towards each point (changing from each 1 PP = any download >5MB to >100MB changed things for a lot of people), prices will go up again.

Also note that the conversion remains one-way, from PP->FP. This means that if you have a Premium account that you bought straight from RS, you get screwed because they only gave FP to their purchased accounts...so, if you had over 10k FP in your account from purchasing and/or extending your account and were planning to extend without paying them for another account, think again...This will probably make even more people just buy from uploaders (if they knew we existed xD)

Edit: As far as the lag for converting at the old rate in the New Premium Zone goes...Premium users should take advantage of that ASAP; collectors with regular collector accounts (i.e. me :P) can only do a 1:1 conversion.
 
In one my premium acc I was having 12 K free points,
& I have though that I will extend the account from that Points but now It looks like I should Have done that before... :((
It`s a waste now....
 
2k PP is a big deal; it means that every account you generate costs 25% more than before - every 4th account you sell = 1 less account you could have sold. With regards to your pricing scheme, why would anyone buy more than 5 accounts at once from you? It doesn't make sense; unlike a utility company, there are other sellers that don't charge more for buying more accounts xD

1/4=25%. Free points have usage now unlike past when they were useless. I answered your question before you asked it :P
 
Well... As I remember we need 10K point to create or extend acc before RS introduces Premium Point.

FP is not easy to get, but PP... You can get a lot in short time... Just convert them to FP

+ can extend/create 1 year acc now...
 
lol sry, i messed it up in my previous post, fixed now:D

look, if you upload and post on few forums you easily get that extra 2k points that are needed. And i know that there are at least 70% of able uploaders here that get that.

To repeat my point: yes, it is good **initially** when you are using up those FP you already have in your account, but after those points are gone (say you have 100k FP right now, so after 20 accounts), every single account you generate will cost 25% more than usual. It's more of a medium- and long-term concern; sure, it's great that things cost less to make in the immediate future, but it will cost more in the long-term. A lot of people (myself included) generate far more PP than FP and it's going to hit us particularly hard.
 
I have just changed to Premium zone from Collector`s Zone coz
We was able to extend our acc for a month from our 10K free points only.

But Now it`s not possible..
So It wont matters for Free users,
But more affected to Premium users..

my point is even if you get like 1/4 point FP as compared to PP i.e. 1K FP for every 4K PP you are still in same position as earlier you needed 8K premium points for one account & 2K FP that you got along with them were wasted. Now in same time you get 8K FP(convert 3K to FP) & u have got one account :)

+ as said already by you this rule give usage to those many lacs of FP lying with uploaders that were unsued & wasted upto now :)
