9. For backlinks, use Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Google+, Blogger, MySpace, AIM, LinkedIn, Tumblr, FriendFeed, Feedburner, Delicious, and don't point your backlinks to your domain name, point them on links of your posts (deep linking)
10. Submit your RSS feeds to Feed Aggregators, on a weekly basis, or 2 times a week.
11. Use extremetracker, for stats, to monitor most visited pages, write them down, keep links alive on those spots.
12. Now you can do some design customization on your site. (yeah, it comes last, first thing you want is traffic, that is where all n00bs make mistake)
