The datacenter has taken our IP address offline due to a site that was hosting illegal materials. I replied to their email and I'm waiting for them to put the IP address back online so I can remove the site.

Yes, inject0r mate. but it could be normal if you want to run your hosting business, because they have a good friendly support and the connectivity is pretty good and the most valuable thing is no DMCA headache

But, for small users this could be beyond their limits

It is impossible. Even wrzhost turned to junk. Nothing but downtime lately im talking days not hours.


Best forget offshore if you want uptime. Just stay under the radar on shore or have multiple backups at different places.

I'm tech admin of one of the german biggest warez forums and today we got abused.
portlane was our host and we were taken down by the swedish anti piracy organisation "Antipiratbyrеn".

it's really hard to find a good host this days. we were on portlane for many years.
