People are searching with the release title only when they need subtitles for the movie or the tv show. I always preferred clean nice titles, as almost everyone is searching like this: "movie name year.rar" , and that's all. They don't add the stuff like 720p, at least not average Internet users. And you probably want to target them.
If your SEO is good it doesn't matter. But a newbie would not search for the release title as he might now even know what that is. Stick to the short version, a clean, neat title.
Yeah , a neat and clean and short title is recommended one as mostly the newbies are the regular visitors of warez sites..
released titles is good and informative for uploaders not for newbies.. and u must be targetting newbies not uploaders...
release title of course i won't be clicking on a movie with title like this the mechanic(2010) but if i find a dvdrip or a scene group name in it i will check, clean title looks gay :S
Good question. It toally depends on how you have your site set up.
Something like Castle S03E19 720p WEB-DL DD5 1 H 264-NFHD which you gave is not what I'd advise. It's the release title but almost nobody searches for this exact string.
A lot of people are suggesting to use the release name as it contains more keywords but the problem is WEB or DD5 or NFHD are not keywords which are searched for.
In this example the best to use is Castle S03E19 720p. This is now where it get's interesting. The title for the download you use is used in the main <title> tags of your page which are very important but pretty much ever script allows you to add iditional info to this tag. If you automatically add Hotfile and Rapidshare Download your original page title now becomes: Castle S03E19 720p Hotfile and Rapidshare Download.
That's 51 characters long which is a near perfect length. Anything over 70 characters is cut by Google in the results. Other stuff you could set your site to add in the end are stuff like Castle S03E19 720p One Link FileServe Download or Castle S03E19 720p Free FileServe Download etc.
Chosing the right titles is only 10% of the work. The other 90% is the rest of the default titles. The amount of sites I've seen with MyDomain.com - Powered by vBulletin as the title not only kills the work you have done but actually decreases your SEO as the title is not related at all to the download which basically prevents it every receiving any decent organic traffic.
Thanks. I knew about the 70 character limit is a vital part. But I never considered it much. Now I'm gonna modify my site's title to strip off the release tags :D
Like Happy said both are not that good.
So for example: Resident Evil (2010) DVDRip is a LOT better than Resident Evil [2010] DVDRip-Axxo-MKV or w.e and just Resident Evil (2010) won't help that much unless you have big website.
