Hi, I have registered my domain with godaddy but I've read that it's possible that godaddy close the account for dcma or any other reason.

Now I'm close to renew my domain, what do you think to do? Renew in godaddy or in other some good site that ignore dcma? And, which one?

Thanks :)

Transfer from Godaddy to Internet.bs or similar.

Godaddy are nutoriously bad at looking after there clients domains they have disabled numerous domains, its better to be safe than sorry as the old saying goes.

See this post for basic info on transfering

Thanks for the basic info..

My domain will exipre on july, when do you think it's better transfer it?

Sooner rather than later, some registrars can be a pain, there is loads of small clauses which registrars can use to slow down the transfer, like noted later on in the topic i posted the basic info in.

Godaddy deny change registar.. how is it possible?

Edit: The request to transfer the following domain name(s) to another registrar has been denied -- the domain(s) is currently a Private Registration

See this is what i said above "some registrars can be a pain, there is loads of small clauses which registrars can use to slow down the transfer".

If you check your email you should have one which gives the full reason of what the problem is.

I would GUESS and yes it is a guess, that it was denied becuase they could not email you to the email in whois becuase its the company handling Private Registration (namely who is protection) you should be able to disable Private registration or whois protection and then it should work, if your above post is anything to go by.

godady overated

Hey,

Godaddy is way overrated, I prefer namecheap or name.com for my domains. But the cheapest prices can be found at crazydomains.com
Though I think they only accept credit card? Not sure.

I have been using namecheap for some years now. The user interface at NameCheap is simple and doesn't lack required perks, and also they have been around for some time. They offer coupons for several different types of purchases as well. I personly never understood what possessed the NAMECHEAP CEO to register such a desperate sounding domain name, but they are a well known and established business, and i would suggest their services to all fellow webmasters, Well Minus that minor personal opinion i mentioned about their company name :)
So use namecheap and i promise you wont miss the smorgasbord of ads that you have to fight though at godaddy .
