Recommend me a VPS that allows IRC with little downtime!

I'm looking for a solid VPS package on a good host.
Features:

- Allows IRC hosting
- Little as possible downtime

My current host is having too much downtime and has been unreachable 5 of 7 days since I bought it.

Some suggestions or recommendations please?

Not a lot of providers allow IRC in the US, most in the EU will allow it but always double check (we allow it) with the provider you talk to. What other specifications do you need for this VPS? Location?

Most hosting providers don't allow IRC because it's hard to detect malicious activity and it attracts a lot of DDoS attacks.

Main questions are: What are you using IRC for, and do you get DDoS'd?

Out of curiosity, who is your current host? 5 / 7 days of downtime is TERRIBLE and I guess it'd help the community to avoid them.
