Hi guys, is better to upload to RS with an unregistered account? They blocked my account today ,but i dont know if it has any sense to
create new account.
People should learn the lesson.
Rapidshare has for years had a repeat infringer policy. The policy means that once a user account gets sufficient number of copyright infringement notices, it gets terminated bar the rare circumstances under which the user files a counter notice which Rapidshare may accept or disregard in its entire unreviewable discretion.
The repeat infringer policy is per account. So if you use the same account for
downloading, public file sharing and storing your legal or illegal content, everything including your premium download speed gets lost if or when your account accumulates enough bad karma.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the more links you share, the greater the loss if your account gets terminated by RS.
So in order to minimize the consequence of account terminationw which -- given the legal environment in which Rapidshare like every other legal file host must operate -- is splitting your file sharing activities across multiple (anonymous and unregistered) accounts.
Also remember that even if you have a separate paid account for file storage, RS will still disable files in your account if they match an identical file for which Rapidshare has gotten a notice.
Rapidshare is still good for even public file sharing, but most don't understand how to do it properly.
My rule of thumb is that an account used for public file sharing will sooner or later gets stricken.
So no reason for filling it up with Rapids.
Another rule of thumb is that no account used for file sharing should ever contain more than a few gigabytes.
Of course, those who upload for money have little to celebrate, but Rapidshare is still excellent for the sharing is caring crowd.
