Free users:
If you are using more than 5 GB, please select one of the available offers to make sure your files don't get lost or reduce the storage space by deleting files.
RapidPro customers:
If you are using more than 250 GB, please select the 500 GB account to make sure your files don't get lost or reduce the storage space by deleting files. We are happy to provide more than 500 GB of storage space for fair prices upon request. If you don't select an offer by 20.03.2013, you will automatically get 250 GB for the remaining run-time of RapidPro. You can upgrade at any time.

Do anyone know if user use the capacity more than 500GB, will RS delete the files?
I still don't know what RS want to do.

we have only 8 days before our files get deleted

VERY BAD news of the year indeed :(

mail sent to reconsider their decision and make it at 1 tb as this will be their end also

we need alternatives and not many days left

Filefactory seems to be good for using now

But who can guarantee that they wont delete files if their servers crash after many users may join them when they leave Rapidshare? ;)

They shit on their users like they have always done. Since their beginning they always changed their policy, often without announcing it before. I have been using them since their beginnings as rapidshare.de, when they moved to rapidshare.com I was one of the first 1.000 registered users and have a three digit user ID. But they are dead for the last two years now and their final death is not far away any more. Now they are just cutting costs since they only were usable as cheap backup but this can't be profitable for them if many use several TB of storage and pay just a few Euros a month. Nevertheless they must be kidding to give you only one week until the changes apply.

If I was premium now, I would send them a notice that I don't agree with the new terms and ask for a full refund of my paid money. If they didn't refund the full amount without any problem, I would do a chargeback since they changed the service you paid for!
 
Don't use filefacXXXX or putlXXXXX to save the backup.
If the member don't help them make enough money ,these filehost will limit the uploading capacity or delete your account.
