Typical "in it for the money only" post by an "uploader." They're the most popular and best file hosts and consistent over many years.

They'll also guarantee return visitors which will need to download multiple files at once making downloads for your cashwhore hosts.

it's not the money only but the problem is they are so fucking slow like uploading to filerserve filesonic etc is 50x faster for me. megaupload 0,4mb/s and filesonic 40mb/s.

There are a lot of uploaders who uploads for a name e.g uploaders at iptorrents and scc don't earn any money by uploading there but they have a name in the warez world. Money is not everything, respect matters much :D

RS is still the best host for me.. Both downloading and uploading... :)

Their speed is incomparable!!!... :S As long as they are like this, I will never stop using their services... ;)

Long live Rapidshare xD

Or maybe they have enough money, sharing online is a hobby/passion :)

If you have to ask why use RS and/or MU, then you need to rethink how you post your topics.

1-we all know those 2 dont pay or have incentives
2-But did you know, free users love RS and MU?
3-Will you get a ton more users to view your topic with RS AND MU? answer: yes
4-ok, so I get more users that download from RS and MU and I get nothing as an uploader? This is where you are so wrong. In a busy forum, and you do a search, which topics do most look at first? answer: total views.
5-You will gain more views, bring in more users from your regular uploaded files from your favorite paying host. Most views = more downloads.
6-Did you ever think about making all of your files interchangable with all the servers you added to your topic? What this means is a free user with limited download speed will most likely download from 2 or more of your servers if the files are interchangable. What does this mean to your RS and MU links? Free user download say 2 files from MU, to speed up his slow connections, he will download one file from FS, or FSC or another of your money hungry serves. What did you gain, more downloads from your paying servers.
7-You are missing the boat if you dont include RS and MU.

*note, all the information above was true at time of this post. The detail of information is from my past experience as a repected uploader. What works well for me, may not work well for you. I dont take responsibility if you post
RS and MU links and you dont get more views/downloads if your topic with your links look like crap. How to dress up a good looking topic, is another story :)

MU speed is capped at 500kb/s but that doesn't mean it's a bad host.
MF speed is good and it is an excellent host. I get about 15mb/s-17mb/s upload speed if I upload 20 x 200mb files at once.
RS is excellent as well. Upload speed per file is usually 5-10mb/s

So what are you on about mate? Cash only? Use these hosts and you'll have respect of your downloaders, else you are just a cashwhore junky and you shouldn't try to cover it up.

how can you ask this kind of question, every god damn downloader or uploader knows answer. i still upload on rapidshare no matter what happens, sometime i use mu or mf.
