Hi all, I opened this topic because I see that in these days very few webmasters care about quality, most care about quantity.
What is wrong with webmasters (or so called webmasters) in this days?

I noticed that most of them only want to have more traffic, users and just to sell VIP, some of them are a shame brought above the real pirates.
There are sites full with ads and VIP sections (discriminating free users).

And another thing I noticed is that all of them want to get big and when they get big they forget from where they began, I see many small sites trying to get a link exchange and nobody helps them, they are left aside.
Those are not real webmasters, they are probably greedy kids trying to make quick money, they do not deserve to be on the warez scene.

They forget the real meaning of sharing and supporting each other...

What is your opinions about this?

well some people put a lot of hard work into there forums, why should they help others who want it all on a spoon without the work ?

i agree with you but i do help the smaller sites im a 4* site on katz pr3 and i have links to sites with under 100 members :)

Some of these sites need to have ads and VIP to support there heavy server bills they can't just afford to spend a large amount of money every month with no return that would be silly. Yeah we all know sharing is caring but to get free content out too the masses requires money you should be more appreciative of the sites that are bringing good quality content out to the masses and getting very little in return. ;)
 
@Loget I have found a very good solution for not asking VIP money or adding external ads and pop-up.
The money I receive from filehosts where I upload. I invest them into the sites, now I have 4 sites, 3 forums and 1 DDL, and I am doing well.

In some case you are right @Loget, but you must offer the free users a chance to get VIP without paying.
In this case I have also have think about a solution.

In my forums I will create 1 Link Download section and FTP Section for the users that have more then 6 month and 1000 post they are automatically added to Warez Supporters group and they get access to 1 Link Download and FTP section without money.
But until they get 6 month and 1000 post I am trying to offer them interchangeable links with every post, so that the difference between older and new ones to be very very small. Or if they want they can donate 1 euro and get access to the 1 link Download Section and FTP Section for 30 days, but this is optional.
It's the freedom of chose, only if they want they can get 30 days access, in time they will be added to Warez Supporters group and access those section without paying.

It's like trust, you can't buy it, you have to earn it :)

I want to say that all the money I get from the sites and filehosting points I invest them back into the development of sites. I have many good ideas and I test those ideas on a shared hosting, most of them are working but I need funds to develop, and in time you will see all my ideas coming to life :)

And for all to know, 2 years ago I started in the warez scene with 0$ and from points from filehosts I have created in time 4 sites and paying the host monthly.
We must not forget that we are all equal :)

@Whoo I had been telling this allot, only the theme is the same, I have to rewrite more then half the code myself...you are trying to spam this topic and change the subject...that is not very diplomatic from a MODERATOR...
 
im a 5* site and I link exchange with everyone, I made my site purely out of disrespect to other poorly ran large sites because of stupid admin
 
The fact that you think I cloned warezworm is not the point, stop spamming...

This is a topic related to webmasters and how are some of the webmasters in this days , not about cloning sites and the fact you want to low my credibility...some of the users actions are childish, anyway this is not the point, let's go back to the topic subject :)

@Sp32 you had good intentions, sometimes it's hard to find good and trusted staff :)
 
ralfy_tm - Hi, i disagree with your vip point, due to the fact us webmasters have server,licence and domain bills to pay, my sites for instance we are not talking about some £80 a year shared hosting, we are talking about aproximatly £600 A year server, ipb licence £35 A Year and a domain bill aprox £204, So Thats Aproximatly £839 A Year costs and my site is not even that big compared to some of the bigger sites, imagine the cost to warez-bb for instance, Vip and ads are used for a reason to cover the expenses, with most webmasters, althought there are some out to make a profit you cannot paint us all like that.

Secondly, As A Webmaster I Care About Quality, which is why i have been striving to achieve this, which is one of the reasons i have a dedicated server so we can achieve a good quality of service and have room for expansion.

Thirdly As A Webmaster I Have NEVER used a leech bot or anything else to artificually make my site look better than it is.

Fourthly, As A Webmaster I Have helped other sites get started there is plenty of room for us all and there was a time with us all when we did not know how to run a site, for instance me without a freind of mine in 2006 who was admin on another site who explained about setting up ipb and ftp ect then i certainly wouldent have been able to setup when i did althought i would have worked it out in the end, Knowledge is power and we should all share our knowledge allowing us all to expand our knowlege base.
 
lol I put tons of hours of work into my site and am 3* on Katz lol :) with regard to VIP I think it's important to reward good, active members for their work, but unless the cost of your server is unaffordable without charging people I don't think sites should charge for VIP access :)
 
i use to like the idea of vip access but when u think about it, its just a bunch of junk u can get free at other places and not rlly filled with a ton of content :/
