alright, when i'm uploading, and have multiple files queued, when the file first starts to upload, it starts at around 130kb/s and then slowly levels to about 45kb/s. then stays there.

earlier i was uploading a file, and it spiked to 130kb/s around 10%. so i was like hm.

is there anyway in my routers login, that i can change it so it doesn't stick to 40kb/s?

Is your wireless connection unsecured (means not password protected), then your bandwidth is/getting used by other computers.Probably your neighbour is connected to your wifi.

How many computers are connected to your wireless connection within your house? Any internet device connected to it like iphone,psp,ps3 xbox360,laptop or another computer?

Im about to leave but I'll let you know this if your wifi connection is being used by another device, your speed will drop.

there's two computers total
other comptuer is just shit like facebook, and web browsing. so that's no reason for the connection to slow.

no gaming consoles, no other device using its connection.

Hello,

Please check your startup files,

if its just used for facebook etc or msn someone cud of infected the computer with a botnet

also can you provide me a speedtest and a traceroute to google.com

Please do

tracert free-hostz.info

Usually what happens is that your ISP has a burst limit for the download and upload speed. So for the start you will get that burst which is usually a small amount of time and then goes back to the original speed that the ISP is giving you.

So therefore it is normal for that to happen at the start by jumping alot. You can get more info from your ISP aswell.

If you have a router and want me to configure it with advanced settings i can do it for you i am an Computer Engineer have worked with an ISP for about a Year as the Technical Manager..

P.S What kind of router do you have?
