I use safelinking.net. Free, fast, easy, nice... You can choose to have password, captcha, both, direct link or just one click redirect. Try it! :)

Two different sites with similar purposes but completely different methodologies.

here is how rmsafe.com handles link protection:
  1. when you add a link to rmsafe.com, it creates a backup link automatically
  2. when somebody visits rmsafe.com protected link it checks the link
  3. if the provided link deleted it restores automatically from backup and create new backup url
  4. so your link never get deleted!
  5. and you do not need to re upload your file again...
