Promoting content on forums?

Hi guys,

If I wish to promote my website on forums with good content, like blog posts or infographics, will that be considered spam and not according to the Google's guidelines?

I thought Google wanted us to create good quality content and share it with others, so that they can know about the content.

Please share your views.

Not only should you think about Google's guidelines, but also consider if it would be considered spam to the owner of the site.

What you previously did, was spam as it is not allowed by WJ.
