Just because he is using Tables doesn't mean it's bad coding :/ looks neat to me and easy to read good work.

Design = needs something more to it bit too plain.

The design and layout is epically horrid, that's without starting on your code.
First off I suggest you move the login box to the right hand corner,
preferably under the navigation bar or elsewhere like, on a sidebar, or near the footer.
