First off it's called PostCode
Secondly: Any UK Post Code can be entered in google maps and it will show you the location
Finally: Zip Code is invalid. appears even when correct post code

ok. i ain't british so i don't know that. if the post code says invalid then you can add it up in the admin panel. simple as that. uk postcodes are generally 3-4 letters am i right? yes they are. how do i know? coz i made the whole frigging dbase. :D

what was the POSTCODE you searched for if i might ask?

does the postcode in google maps shows these things as well?
Displays postcode, town, county code, county, eastings, northings, country

i made some corrections in the main post :)

post codes can be in many formats... e.g.

M1 3GG
ES12 3DD
generally it's 1 or 2 letters then 1 or 2 letters, then a space, then a number and 2 letters.

i see. but what i learned that they are of 3-4 letters.
