I would'nt bother with ram 8GB is enough for a lot unless you watch a lot of p0rn

Id upgrade the cpu, and get like a intel ssd <3
what kind of mobo do you have now
 
Choice 1, the 8 Core AMD processor is crap, it has a lot of cores but gaming is poor and no application would be able to fully utilize 8 cores as far as i know.
 
I have 3 computers with both AMD and Intel CPU's, so I'm not a fan boy.

If I was in your shoes, I'd go for i7 and 8GB of extra RAM. Sure it's not 8 core but it will definitely do the job, plus you have more RAM.

I have a 6 core bulldozer and i would just like to say ignore the people that say it cant play games, They are talking shit it can do everything that the Intel cpu's can do.

If you want my opinion if you have the money go for a high end i7 if you are looking to build it on a budget go for a Bulldozer or Piledriver (the piledriver is like 20% faster than the bulldozer).

I built mine on a "budget" so i could spend more on the GPU the thing that matters most when gaming. I am happy with the bulldozer it has done everything i have asked it to without breaking a sweat.
