holy cow poo i was doing some bench testing on the HD today and it died
time to get a new one on monday as all the shops are closed now
lucky for the lappy back up:)

thanks for moving
na the hd is 3 years old now so i guess it needs a new one
its been funny ever since i reinstalled xp not so long ago
anyway yesterday i decided to reinstall see if it would help
but once it started to boot from the cd it told me there was no
hd selected and could not continue so all i can think of is new hd

the warenty is only for 3 years bummer just missed out on that

im sure its the hd zero im going to test it in another machine today so ill let you know

lol yer its one i picked up from some time back

anyway i got a new sata hd today fitted it and booted and still have the same error
so i put it in the shop they can sort the bloody thing out now
im guessing it can be the mother board now

lets find out what they find

ill report back on the findings

update:

well it seems the boys down the shop found it to be something wrong in the bios
some setting changed its self some how "dont ask me how" and it was causing problems with the new sata drive
all is good now and pc is sweet as a nut...........
