Hello,

My friend was trying to verify his paypal using his Bank Account and it seems its not possible, he has to do it with debit/credit card.

As far as I remember, it was possible for Indians to verify using their bank account as I myself got verified by the same.

He has a SBI debit card which is not accepted by PP.

Tried googling but didnt find anything interesting.

Has PP stopped verification by Bank Accounts for Indians?

How can he verify his PP using an SBI bank account??

Any Indians can comment plz?

Thanks !

I dnt think paypal stopped verifying by Bank Accounts.

I got myself verified using the SBI Account.

Is he giving the account credentials correctly?? If he has a PAN card then that wud be great too. After submitting the credentials PAYPAL will deposit two small amounts like 1$ each into the account. If u get them in ur account then that is verified!!

I never tried using the CC or DC sorry!

Tell him to check the name that he is using for bank account and the name he is using for paypal. If they are exactly the same, then only he can verify with bank account.
I verified my two paypal account, one for my name and other for my fathers name. Mine is with Punjab National Bank and my fathers is with HDFC.

Sometimes, the first name, middle name and last name in Paypal creates confusion.

Yeah. Paypal have not stopped verifying via Bank Account in India.

I got my Paypal verified few days ago via Bank Account. ;)

Just give your Bank Account details properly ;)
