Hello guys,

I put my phone for auction on one of the India's big online marketplace. It's used and worth of $100 only as converted to Indian money. The bid went up to $700. And the buyer has agreed to pay $250 for shipping. I got the payment but Paypal sent me an email that the payment is on hold until I ship the item and send them the shipment details. I am selling my items overseas for the first time. So a little bit confused about this PP thing. If anyone sold items overseas and are there such type of restriction by PP like holding the payment. Am scared that if I ship the item paying the courier company and the payment is still withheld by PP, then I'll be in loss.

Also where can I find my paypal ID?? Who can explain the IDs arrowmarked?? Which is the buyer ID and which one is sellers?? I'm confused as I received two IDs.

So need some expert advice by some experienced seller and buyer.

Those are fake emails. The email address used to send you those emails does NOT belong to PayPal.
Cancel the shipping, you are being scammed.

Classic Nigerians...

Yeah.. They do that mainly on iPhone auctions.. You should check your PayPal account next time.. There would be some kind of notice if anything holds up your payment.

PS. Don't forget to report that email to PayPal, and to the site you used for the auction.

I wrote to PayPal about it and they called me to confirm that this is a scam. They advised me not to sale anything until I get the payment. They don't hold the payment.

Scam, remember PayPal will only hold your funds if you sell on eBay. Money will go to your pending balance.

What more advices do you need? I told you in the first post, they are trying to scam you. Simply get over it, report it, and try to sell your phone to somebody else.
