Every adoption of BitCoin helps to spread the word about it, so recent PayPal adoption (however it is just very limited) is good news.

Nevertheless it's still a niche and it's too complicated for random users to inform what BitCoin is, how to get them, how to spend them. We still need more education for people on that topic to achieve a broader spread among the average internet users. When users realize, that it's fare more secure than CC (if used properly -> here BC has a great progress with easy, secure multisign online wallets), it's anonymous (if used properly), they will start to use it. But that needs time and I expect it will take at least two more years to become somehow popular...
