A couple of hours ago Opera Software released the latest version of their browser, Opera 10.60 . Page load times seem to be much faster in this new release thanks to the Opera Presto 2.10 rendering engine. Some notable new features in this new release:

- A new interface for the built in Opera Mail.
- A new 'star' in the address field that lets us bookmark pages easily ( like chrome and firefox).
- Increased HTML5 support.
- Faster page rendering as compared to previous versions of opera.

Opera Software has also given new users 10 compelling reasons to try opera 10.6 :

1. You clean everything to prepare for the holiday, why not your computer?
2. No assembly required; it’s all in the download package.
3. It is free, a deal year-round, rather than a Black Friday doorbuster.
4. Unlike socks, this fits everyone.
5. We tried not to say it, so we misspelled it: IT’S FSAT.
6. Justin Bieber doesn’t use it.
7. It’s supported by science since version 10.
8. Your kids won’t wake you up at the crack of dawn Christmas morning; they’ll be too busy with the browser.
9. See #6.
10. Your current browser is so fat it can’t slide down the chimney.

Opera is fast. Very fast which I like but the reason is it removes certain rendering features. Take for example CSS Gradient. Everything supports them even old versions of IE (it's called filter) but not Opera so your web pages don't look as good. It's things like this that make it fast but don't show the true picture. It's very deceptive marketing IMO.

Actually, speaking as a normal user, i dont really notice those differences. The web pages i visit look the same to me on Chrome, Firefox and Opera ( but maybe thats just me, an average user). I guess from a developers point of view opera might lack in a few departments but for me its the only 'complete' browser.

The only thing i hate about opera is the lack of extensions. Despite the fact that Opera enabled extension support more than a year ago, they only have 918 extensions in their library ( which is a joke if you ask me).

6. Justin Bieber doesn’t use it.

That made me LMFAO!

Opera is a nice handy browser but don't really use that much unless I want to see how a webpage looks on it.
