Hello guys,

I would like to get some suggestions from fellow webmasters about how to do offsite seo for a warez website?

I know about onsite seo. But I am quite confused about what to do about offsite seo. :(

So, can you suggest where and how to start offsite seo? :)

You can create stickers and give it for free to your friends, or you can tell them that you have all the newest games / movies, etc.

I can be wrong, but IMO offline SEO is only worth taking on legit sites.

Offline SEO? As in mainstreme advertising? Or do you mean Offsite SEO.

Offline is to do with non internet stuff and would be stuff like Newspaper, Rapio, TV adverts, Instore promoations, sponcering clubs and events, flyers, basically mainstream advertising.

You must mean Offsite SEO which is helping increase traffic to your site by getting other sites to link to yours and send you traffic. Things like this are Social Media like Facebook, twitter, Digg and then you have link exchanges, purchasing backlinks, advertising your site on other forums etc.

Can you clarify if it's Offsite or Offline SEO you want.

Tell your friends about your site and ask them to promote in their friends circle.
Advertise in Newspapers.
Advertise in T.V / Radio

Yes Offline advertising for a Warez Site is a terrible idea. That why I asked him to clarify as I believe it's Offsite he wants which would make more sense.

edit: you just replied above and confirmed :)

gamelord as mr happy has already stated, offsite SEO is buying links on other sites, posting them on digg, stumbleupon, etc

is a really bad idea, you dont want your DOWNLOAD WINDOWS XP FOR FREE links in digg it drags unneeded attention,

most people share links on twitter..

@bxflow Yes! thats why I am confused on how to promote my site via social bookmarking, directory submissions, commenting etc....

I know about buying links but meeh leave that option.

I guess you can add a facebook "LIKE" button to your posts like that they can be liked by some people and their friends see it etc,

Twitterfeed and AddThis is the closest way to go, next up you might want to buy adspots / textlinks in a site from a different niche / criteria.

Bad example: an apps download site placing a link in another apps download site
Good example: an apps download site placing a link in a game download site.

If you've build up enough content for your site, hunt for some sites with better traffic / page rank which opens a chance for Link Exchange.
