A few days ago, Jan 12th 2012. Bob Sherbin made an official statement:

NVIDIA wasnt consulted by ESA in formulating their position on SOPA. Our position is this: we oppose piracy, as it hurts our game-developer partners. However, we do not support SOPA. We dont believe it is the right solution to the problem. We remain committed to working to address this problem in a constructive and fair manner.

SOPA isn't the key to solving these problems. The funny thing is pirating stuff is free advertisements. There are a lot of things people wouldn't buy even if pirating wasn't around. Other people buy stuff because their friend pirated this and that. If I really love something I'll go out and buy it. If it's mediocre I'd download it.

We have something smiliar in germany (GEMA) they restrict almost every Youtube video because there is a background track from a actor thats not released yet in germany.
