Hi mates,
There are frequent downtime's in NL datacenter .
Ecatel is facing frequent downtime , Sp32 and many others affected due to it.
SmartDC was good once upon a time.

Now which DC is good in NL to be an offshore (Warez). :))

If you are still with ecatel or smartdc and happy, share that too <3 .

They have a DMCA Policy, As any reputable Data Center should.

Most Data Centers do not allow warez for only the fact its illegal but it also brings bad network activity sooner or later, Thus is why Ecatel network keeps having issues its a warez haven.

Sorry to ruin your day kiddos but if you want a host that doesnt have issues then quit dealing with warez it comes with the territory.

Nope, they don't allow warez. I don't think EvoSwitch is a hosting company, they seem to be only DC and LW uses EvoSwitch DC. I might be wrong.

Just about every datacenter in the NL (if not the world) has a policy to deal with complaints, so I don't think you'd find one that says they don't. It's a matter of trial and error.

@Dlow , What about the uptime of evoswitch .

What i understand is , if you dont want downtime , Dont host warez. :)

Question arises: How come big sites like: TPB,ET,other torrent sites run...
I know they dont run on single server and single location. But how do they link servers in such way?

@Daringhost

I dont mind dealing complaints, i need good uptime so that site is available :) , No problem if the DC doesn't ignore DMCA .

No matter what you will always face down time unless you have big bucks and can build a redundant network. As google,yahoo,facebook, etc

How ever shit happens even if your not dealing with warez hard drives crash, ram goes out, processors burn up,

Point is how ever if your dealing with warez downtime is inevitable if you have a warez site with a host, Its a known fact other people do too and sooner or later there will be un-wanted activity ie DDoS, Script Kiddies and so on so fourth.

Seems like we have discussed this like a year ago ?

@hulkman

I cant really comment on Evo Switch up time i do know they have great staff and have one hell of a DC from what i hear i have heard nonthing bad. And as my sig says System Administration Extraordinaire

What Config are you looking for ?
I am doing some research over networking and datacenters , I am at inital stage of it and have some noob questions ;) too.

I love your siggy<3, Thats one of the reason i am asking frequent questions :sun:

Can i know get a short info on redundant network!

I heard RAID high level systems need a lot of resources, Is RAID just a backup of data or it simultaneously work for serving data when one HDD is damaged! ( High level Raid -may be Raid 5-10 ) :)

Well you could always buy a few servers and setup cloud networking or a cluster. That would be one form of redundancy. How ever another form you should look for in a data center its self is UPS backups, Generators, Multi-Holmed network.

RAID is an example of storage visualization
RAID (redundant array of independent disks, originally redundant array of inexpensive disks) is a storage technology that combines multiple disk drive components into a logical unit. Data is distributed across the drives in one of several ways called "RAID levels", depending on what level of redundancy and performance

How ever there are several types of RAID in general Hardware RAID, Software Raid, Hot Spares, Data Scrubbing

RAID is a not a replacement for backup. It only changes the way your storage part of your server works. RAID can speed up the performance, or give more reliability etc. It has the ability to you give an experience such as having one huge partition in your system that is over 12 TB of space or more etc, of course we don't have 12 TB physical hard drives. So that's one of the advantages it can do.

Never had a single issue with Evoswitch NL DC.... best in its class...

but for warez hosting in server i dont recommend NL... get in germany or latvia
