History: Started as emuxperts.net and changed our domain to NitroRoms.
Description: NitroRoms is an emulation and rom site. We offer Games/ROMs spanning all 7 generations of gaming (up to and including Wii, Xbox360, PS3).
Our most popular systems are: NDS, PSP, Wii, PSX, PS2, N64, and others.
Our entire site is custom coded, and our database is custom made (no MySQL etc...)
Services:
Direct Downloads - We have 3 servers, 2 of those are fileservers, 1 is the main site server (html, scripts).
Different Languages - Our site is translated in 11 different languages to help us be more global.
User Image Uploading - For every game we have box arts, images, and guests can upload any game images they want (we moderate them and they get added).
No Registration - All our files are free to download by any person, no registartion is required.
Mirrors - We try to mirror our files through RS/MU in order to give guests more options (Currently only NDS/PSP/Wii/PS2/GC are mirrored)
0-Day NDS Releases - If a Nintendo DS Rom is dumped, we strive to have it as quickly as possible
Forums - Our newly NR Forums has been online for only 2 months, and is helpful in getting community together. Also you can ask any questions or problems you have. We also have 2 other languages specific forums for Korea and Japan (1 week old respectively).
IRC Live Support - Our own IRC Channel for live support/questions. Also to just talk and relax in.
Currently we are trying to reduce our ads, but our funds are very demanding.
We have over 3TB of data spanning over 3 servers in three different countries. We require $1,070/month to keep up with this.
