Ok, I have just done a fresh install of WP on a new website I am working on, I have installed it and everything is working.

The only problem I am having is I want to install some plugins but after installing them and trying to configure I am getting this error

"You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

I have tried searching Google and only found 1 answer which was to try a Force Upgrade, which I did and was unsuccessful.

I am using VirtualMin if this makes any difference.

During the install you need to make sure you have full permissions which you set when configuring the DB etc if my memory serves me right. Could be that you have not given yourself the permissions needed.

Check the permission of the plugins folder...

wp-content/plugin

instead of using that plugin why not try get a replacement one which will do the same thing ?

Its all Plugins that are doing it not just 1 Plugin

Plugin Folder is 755 also changed to see if 777 worked but same thing

The plugins are working, aswell but I just cant access the Settings for them.

You are logged in to the WP Dashboard I assume to do all this? If so and it still is not letting you then surely it must be to do with access permissions? :S

Yeah I am logged in to WP Dashboard and I used the mysql root account, maybe someone else can help me install this, and show me

Install a plugin called Advanced Access Manager and in it make sure that the admin has level 10 rights ( i.e full control over the site). Your problem should go away after installing this.

Thats the problem CloudShadow, every plugin that I am installing gives me the error

"You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

when I try to access the Settings fro that Plugin.

Same thing happens with the Advanced Access Manager

I have reinstalled it a couple of times and I upload all files through FTP yes and the same problem persists

The only thing I can think is it has something to do with VirtualMin
