New to VPS! Help Please?

I want to transfer my site from shared hosting to VPS...but I don't know how to configure my VPS...in shared hosting there is control panel...but there's no such thing as in my VPS...

Do i have to install something to make it work...Overall I'm totally a newbie in VPS...so can anyone please explain me everything from scratch or if anybody want to help me...most welcome?

install cpanel u can do :D

install kloxo manager that's free to use on VPS, u need to just enter a few commands in your SSH to install kloxo, you can google it for the proper commands for installing it

Just install cpanel with the following command

wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
sh latest

once installed

open whm ip/whm

username : root
pass : your server root pass

then go to transfers select Copy an account from another server with account password

then just enter your old shared hosting ip and account name and password and cpanel will copy the account for you

Cannot resolve cpanel.net. Please check /etc/resolv.conf. Installation terminated.
Re-run /installd/checkresolvconf after resolving the issue before attempting installatio

nano /etc/resolv.conf

paste these there
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

save and exit..

and retry installtion..

KLOXO installed on VPS & Forum Transferred Successfully
Time Taken : 3 Hours

Rohit is using VPS Provided by "BENTINK -The Scammer".

Kloxo ADMIN PANEL Opened after 10 minutes on first visit.....Forum is transferred through RAPIDLEECH Average DL speed was about 85KBps. FTP usage is Horrible. SLow ,sometimes it Hang, sometimes "Error retriving..". Ping is Lagging....20%-40% DATA loss.
Clicking any link on ADMIN PANEL is like a SIN...as no one knows,when it will be loaded properly/will it load or not.

I estimated about 10 Minutes MAXIMUM in this thing,but as it taken about 3 hours to complete.In Mean time , i thought 2-3 times in between to Say Sorry to ROHIT and Leave for any other person due to Slow Page loading and frustration.

If You are getting "Could not Connect to port 80 " Then its your server Problem,not plugin Problem, Its working fine on my server.Also I made its Checked By "PLUGIN TEAM" and its working
